There were many tremendous happenings with multiple Cross Impact chapters this semester. In January, another Cross Impact chapter was added as Bethel Baptist Church in Hampton, VA looked to reach-out to the campus of Christopher Newport University. Continue to pray for other local churches that are currently in this process.

2016 Spring Update

On behalf of all involved with Cross Impact Ministries, thank you for your continued prayer and support of CIM. We are extremely grateful for your partnership and support in the Gospel!

As we continue in our goal for 2016 to revitalize the National ministry, we have spent much time reaching-out to past and current local church contacts as well as providing direction from Cross Impact National. Our year kicked off with a trip to Mentor, OH in January to meet with a church that   shares CIM’s desire and vision for the discipleship of young adults.

Additionally, the church has founded a church-planting ministry called ARCH Ministries. The connection was great as we were able to share CIM’s vision to see churches planted in college towns with the long lasting and long reaching opportunities that provides. The trip provided multiple contacts with pastors interested in Cross Impact. We are excited to see how the Lord will continue to lead Cross Impact as we seek to see the Gospel move forward in church planting and other opportunities.

In March, it was encouraging to see Cross Impact IUPUI, Clemson CI and Winthrop CI join together at Spring Break for a weeklong missions trip to New York City with the New York Gospel Mission. NYGM is located in the heart of New York City and provided many opportunities of ministry for the group. They assisted with the “food-pantry ministry” which involved a

gospel presentation and the distribution of foods to the community. They also helped with many construction needs around the building and other ministry opportunities. The team was grateful for the opportunity to partner together in reaching-out and serving for the sake of the Gospel in NYC!

Additionally, Winthrop CI of Harvest Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC invited The Galkin Evangelistic Team to partner in an outreach event for students to come and listen to an Irish Sacred Music Concert. They made contact with and had over 100 students attend. The event was also highlighted on the local news ( It is exciting to see how the Lord continues to use Cross Impact on the Winthrop campus.

Additionally, we just completed our 4th CIM National Leadership Training Conference last week, April 6-8. This was our first national conference since 2014. We hosted the conference at Colonial Hills Baptist Church; we are truly grateful for their partnership in ministry. The conference was revitalizing as we had 6 new ministries and 6

current ministries represented from CO, GA, IA, IN, OH and SC. We had an excellent training time with speakers from Anderson CI, Clemson CI, CI Colorado, CI IUPUI, Muncie CI, and Winthrop CI there to discuss the many aspects of revitalizing the local church college/career ministry and reaching-out to local campuses. The days were packed, concluding with an opportunity to see it happening in the local church and on campus.

It is exciting to see the multiple contacts the Lord has brought the last few months and we look forward to how He will continue guide and lead. Please continue to pray for the discipleship of the future of His church in these college/career singles. Again, thank you for your continued prayers and support of Cross Impact Ministries.
